Separable verbs: the prefix goes to the end
فعل جداشدنی پیشوندی دارد که وقتی فعل صرف میشود جدا میشود و تا انتهای جمله پرواز میکند. فعل anziehen میشود Ich ziehe den Mantel an؛ فعل aufstehen از درس ۲۰ میشود Ich stehe um sieben auf؛ و zumachen میشود Mach die Tür zu. آن پیشوند تزئین نیست — معمولاً معنی را حمل میکند، پس ziehen بهتنهایی یعنی «کشیدن» و فقط همان an است که آن را به «پوشیدن لباس» تبدیل میکند. برای همین باید تا انتهای جملهٔ آلمانی گوش بدهی تا بفهمی چه گفته شد، عادتی که فارسی هرگز تمرینت نمیدهد چون فعل فارسی هرگز نمیشکند.
A separable verb has a prefix that detaches when the verb is conjugated and flies to the very end of the sentence. Anziehen becomes Ich ziehe den Mantel an; aufstehen from lesson 20 becomes Ich stehe um sieben auf; zumachen becomes Mach die Tür zu. The prefix is not decoration — it usually carries the meaning, so ziehen alone means to pull and only the an makes it mean to put on clothing. This is why you must listen to the end of a German sentence before you know what was said, a habit Persian never trains because Persian verbs never split.
