Three yous, and the two verbs everything else needs
Du is for one person you know well. Ihr is the plural of du, for several friends at once — English has no equivalent and simply says you. Sie is the formal address for anyone else, singular or plural, and it is always written with a capital S; it also happens to look identical to sie meaning they, which the capital letter is there to prevent confusing. Germans stay on Sie with colleagues and neighbours for years, and switching is offered by the older or more senior person, never taken. Alongside this, memorise sein and haben in full: ich bin du bist er ist wir sind ihr seid sie sind, and ich habe du hast er hat wir haben ihr habt sie haben. Almost every later sentence rests on those two.
