The accusative: only one gender actually moves
The accusative marks the object of a verb, and haben always takes it. The good news is how little actually changes: die stays die, das stays das, and the plural die stays die. Only the masculine shifts, from der to den and from ein to einen. So Ich habe einen Bruder but Ich habe eine Schwester and Ich habe ein Kind. The negation follows the same shape, giving keinen, keine, kein. If you can remember to add -n to the masculine and leave everything else alone, you have the whole accusative for now.
