The whole of A0 in ten rules

یک: فعل صرف‌شده همیشه عنصر دوم جملهٔ خبری است. دو: اعداد یکان را پیش از دهگان می‌گذارند و یک کلمه نوشته می‌شوند. سه: سن با sein ساخته می‌شود نه haben. چهار: halb drei یعنی دو و نیم، چون رو به جلو می‌شمارد. پنج: درد و سرما دادیو می‌گیرند، خلق‌وخو sein و گرسنگی haben. شش: kein اسم را منفی می‌کند و nicht بقیه را. هفت: با آن نُه حرف اضافهٔ دوحالته، wo دادیو می‌گیرد و wohin آکوزاتیو. هشت: پیشوندهای جداشدنی به انتهای جمله پرواز می‌کنند. نُه: فعل کمکی هم مصدرش را به آخر می‌فرستد. ده: هر اسمی با حرف بزرگ نوشته می‌شود. دقت کن که سه تا از این ده تا یک حس واحدند — آلمانی یک فعل یا یک پیشوند را ته جمله پارک می‌کند و منتظرت می‌گذارد. انتظارش را داشته باش، و این زبان دیگر با تو نمی‌جنگد.

One: the conjugated verb is always the second element of a statement. Two: numbers put the unit before the ten and write it as one word. Three: age uses sein, not haben. Four: halb drei means half past two, counting forwards. Five: pain and cold take the dative, moods take sein, hunger takes haben. Six: kein negates a noun, nicht everything else. Seven: with the nine two-way prepositions, wo takes the dative and wohin the accusative. Eight: separable prefixes fly to the end of the sentence. Nine: a modal verb sends its infinitive to the end too. Ten: every noun is capitalised. Notice that three of these ten are the same instinct — German parks a verb or a prefix at the end and makes you wait. Expect it, and the language stops fighting you.
