Four ways to emphasise
do تأکیدی. do/does/did را پیش از فعل ساده بیاور تا اصرار کنی چیزی مثبت درست است، معمولاً در برابر تردید: «I did send it.» «She does care.» توجه: فعل اصلی پایانهاش را از دست میدهد: «He did tell me» (نه «did told»). SO + صفت/قید + THAT: «The damage is so extensive that the floor needs replacing.» SUCH + (a/an) + صفت + اسم + THAT: «It was such a busy month that I forgot.» به یاد داشته باش: «so» با صفت و قید میآید، «such» با اسم. پیشآوری: مفعول یا متمم را برای تقابل به اول ببر: «That I accept.» «His attitude I could forgive; his silence I could not.» این تأکیدی و اندکی ادبی است. هر چهار روش میگذارند بدون فریاد روی نکتهای پافشاری کنی — و همین در B2 مهم است، چون انگلیسیِ نوشتاری لحن صدا ندارد.
EMPHATIC DO. Add do/does/did before the bare verb to insist a positive is true, usually against doubt: "I did send it." "She does care." Note the main verb loses its ending: "He did tell me" (not "did told"). SO + adjective/adverb + THAT: "The damage is so extensive that the floor needs replacing." SUCH + (a/an) + adjective + noun + THAT: "It was such a busy month that I forgot." Remember: "so" goes with adjectives and adverbs, "such" with nouns. FRONTING. Move the object or complement to the front for contrast: "That I accept." "His attitude I could forgive; his silence I could not." This is emphatic and slightly literary. All four let you press a point without shouting — the reason they matter at B2 is that written English cannot use tone of voice.
