گرامر: کمیت‌سنج + of + which/whom، و which جمله‌ای

Quantifier + of + which/whom, and sentential which

سه الگوی B2 جمله‌های موصولی را فراتر از «which» و «who» می‌برد. کمیت‌سنج + OF + WHICH/WHOM: «We interviewed forty families, most of whom had lived here for years.» «They raised three concerns, none of which appears in the plan.» برای آدم‌ها «whom» و برای چیزها «which»، همیشه پس از حرف اضافه یا کمیت‌سنج — هرگز «most of who». کمیت‌سنج‌های رایج: all, both, most, many, some, none, several, half, neither. حرف اضافه + WHICH: «the extent to which»، «the speed at which»، «a situation in which»، «the degree to which».

Three B2 patterns lift relative clauses above "which" and "who". QUANTIFIER + OF + WHICH/WHOM: "We interviewed forty families, most of whom had lived here for years." "They raised three concerns, none of which appears in the plan." Use "whom" for people, "which" for things, always after a preposition or a quantifier — never "most of who". Common quantifiers: all, both, most, many, some, none, several, half, neither. PREPOSITION + WHICH: "the extent to which", "the speed at which", "a situation in which", "the degree to which". This is the formal alternative to ending a clause with a preposition ("which he was aware of" → "of which he was aware"). SENTENTIAL WHICH refers to the whole previous idea, not one noun: "She resigned, which surprised nobody." Note it always follows a comma, and you can never use "what" here.
